Song In Head: “Mr Roboto” (Styx) (Domo aragato, Mister Roboto)
Note: Yes, I brought back the Odalisque. The page wasn’t the same without her

I just sponsored Eve for Blogathon. She’s blogging for America’s Second Harvest. A highly worthy cause and one that is local for many people. I hope folks consider giving Eve a reason to stay up for 24 hours. Hee. ;)
In other news… nothing. I haven’t done a damn thing. Well, that’s not exactly true. I did take the WD covers and bits to the framing place to get them done. While there, I checked out the gallery and found a lot of pieces I really liked. For about $1000 each. Shee-yeah. Anyway, it don’t cost nothin’ to look, do it?

I also looked at Theryn’s page yesterday (love the new look) and got Imogen Cunningham on the brain. So I got looking at a book of her stuff at Borders last night. I so want to get into photography again. I need a better camera instead of the point and shoot I have. But I’m strongly considering making a page of some of my artsier photos to show off. I may do that today actually. So keep an eye on this space.

later, that same day…
Here’s my photo page. I also went out to Tarzhay and got the latest roll developed and some frames. What good is it to take photos when you never look at them? So I’m gettin’ all fancy.

And this amuses me, so here it is:

Eden says: whatever happened with the $15, btw?
Deoris says: uh ? I dunno. What $15?
Eden says:the money some kid gave him to be his friend?
Deoris says:Oh THAT
Eden says: you were debating letting him keep it
Deoris says: We had a talk about how ___ didn’t need to pay him for his friendship. I figured I’d pay [his mom] back.
Eden says: that’s a thought
Deoris says: So, she comes over and wants to talk to both boys, right? I’m like, about the money? She’s like, yeah.
Eden says: oh?
Deoris says: I go, I talked to M about how it was wrong to have taken that. Etc. Anyhow, M said that ___ said it came from ___’s dad. So, I really didn’t think about it.
Eden says: it didn’t, did it
Deoris says: But [his mom] said ___ just TOOK it, it was lying around the house.
Eden says: exactly
Deoris says: He like STOLE over $100 from his dad. He spent like $30 on a gameboy game. And gave 15 to M.
Eden says: that’s what I said about kids don’t just give each other money
Deoris says: Right.
Eden says: yap
Deoris says: ___ was in all kinds of deep water, M was basically a victim. ___ has to work it off to his mom. I told M he should help at least a little with some of it, cause he shouldn’t have taken the money in the first place. But that ___’s stealing had nothing to do with him.
Eden says: there was a girl in my high school started giving everyone make-up. So I said something to my mom, who was surprisingly astute. B/c naturally I wanted some. And she said, “It’s stolen. Whoever she is. Trust me.” Turns out she did steal it b/c she worked at the drug store. I never forgot that my mom was right hee
Deoris says: ROFL @ your mom.
Eden says: no it wasn’t about M at all. But I’m not one drop surprised. Were you?
Deoris says: Actually, yeah. They are very god-fearing people.
Eden says: have I taught you nothing??
Deoris says: And his dad doesn’t live with him. I thought maybe it was child support ___ didn’t give to his mom, tho’.
Eden says: THEY are the ones to watch out for! *wears signboard* *rings bell*
Deoris says: LOL Exactly.
Eden says: hee
Deoris says: So, that’s the story of the $15
Eden says: Jesus would have wanted me to have a Gameboy!
Deoris says: Actually, it was just a game FOR the gameboy. And his dad is now going to sell the gameboy. He spends “too much time” on it anyhow. So they say. I’d never friggin’ do that. I mean, gameboy’s are $60 and once you open it, you can’t resell it for anywhere near that. And it’s a kids’ best friend. But, that’s my parenting style.
Eden says: well if they think he spends too much time with it, they could try parenting him and limiting his use of it. Or maybe they shouldn’t have gotten it in the first place
Deoris says: Nope, just gonna sell it.
Eden says: Yeah. I don’t get parents who buy their kid something like that (or let them keep it as a gift), then don’t want them to use it. How stupid
Deoris says: I know.
Eden says: this is blogworthy. Have you written about it?
Deoris says: FOCL Actually, no.
Eden says: hee
Deoris says: Good plan.
Eden says: mind if I do?
Deoris says: Least, I don’t think I did.
Eden says: I’ll link to you
Deoris says: No, no, go ahead. ROFL. I luff your blog.
Eden says: I live to serve
