Shout out!
So I participated in the Arsenic.net Secret Santa and I’m so glad I did! Today I received my gift: Stitch ‘N Bitch by Debbie Stoller. Whoo!
Now for the extra-fun part: it came from Jenny of cream of potato soup. I read all of COPS.com when I was pregnant w/ Baby Z; it’s a good read. Anyway, she likes my mother stories too. Jenny is part of the Jenny-Mike-Evan triumverate. Mike is Mike of arsenic.net (and runs the Erie Bloggers). Evan is the toddler who has an incredible story of his own. So in honor of Evan and his parental units, my related shout-out today goes to The March of Dimes.
In December, all donations (up to $50k) to The March of Dimes will be matched by MedImmune, Inc so this is a great time to send a little something extra their way.
So now I’m going to learn how to knit (you listening, Lani?) and you should all expect handknit gifts next year. Now I just need needles and yarn and I’m on my way! Should I make a separate knitting blog?
So since Baby Z is sleeping, I’m going to take this opportunity to wash my hair.

Stitch N’ Bitch is a fabulous book; it’s how I learned to knit.
