Patchwork

Z has decided that the patchwork blanket is done. She sacrifices it to The Boohbahs

Z has decided that she wants the patchwork blanket now. It’s all crooked and some squares are off; I didn’t get it right until near the end, when I was more practiced. Also the yarn is that microfiber so it has a mind of its own.

I had two rows to go so instead of being 8 long by 7 wide, it’s 6 long. It’s also pretty square, strangely enough. I think if I were doing it again, I would have used a color where the white is. I do like the color combo, which was my own invention. The pattern is a Debbie Bliss, I think. It’s basically garter-stitched squares that are turned 1/4 and sewed together.

I may do a mini-version (on the correct-sized needles?) for her doll or something. Right now she loves dragging it around and it’s her favorite blankie. Yay! It is very soft and puddly (that’s the best word: it puddles).

If I get a photo of her dragging it around, I’ll share.

I’m currently also still working on that sweater and maybe some open-top boxes for the closet. It’s a make-it-up-as-I-go kind of thing. Other than those, I have no project on-the-needles.
