I’ll add a photo to this post later today (done — see end of post), you know — after I sleep & such.I’ll also write a witty and heartwarming post, as is my particular… (idiom?) idiom, yes.

Since I’ve already gotten an e-card from Jen, I thought I’d just bookmark a little place for any well-wishes, “fuck you”s and such. ETA: I also got e-cards from Michael, Thordora & Erin.

My plans for the day are to cleanse myself in some manner, most likely a shower, and take Holden for his one year checkup. Maybe his photos from last week will be in. I may also talk Hawk into a Fancy Dinner at The Olive Garden. It depends on whether or not I’m showing cleavage (again, see photo below). Then we shall come home and I get to pick what we watch on TV. Then I will eat some cake and ice cream, give the kids a bath, put them in bed and not have sex as I have never had sex on my birthday. Ever. And who am I to break this record? For example: last year I was recovering from childbirth/surgery. I did have a turkey dinner and a piece of cake w/ a “happy birthday” note from the cafeteria. Mmm turkey.

Later that same birthday…

We had dinner at The Outback. I had a Long Island Iced Tea for my splurge. We went to the bookstore & had some fun. After that, The Younglings were sleeping so I got Hawk to take me to Pier One to use my 20% off and $20 off coupons. Now we’re home.

Gifts. Hawk gave me the new Onion book, a Stray Cats “best of,” an ELO “best of” (apparently it has more than two songs on it) and the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie on DVD. Bets gave me a tea gift set (a ceramic pot, cup & some teas); I drink chai but hey, sometimes I drink raspberry tea. Callie gave me lavender talc, shower gel & lotion (looking forward to getting slathered up with all that). Flora gave me a sweater. I tried to exchange it today but she put someone else’s sweater in a JCP box. I have a photo I took of it before we left. Typing one-handed b/c H had shots & is clingy & fussy so can’t do it now. I’ll add the photo tomorrow, along w/ a photo of me. Suffice it to say that it has sparkly angels on it.

I haven’t blown my candle out yet but I’ll make the same wish I’ve made for years. This will also be the first birthday ever that I haven’t wondered about my birthmother. Well, as I wrote to her earlier today, I do wonder about her sometimes… Anyway I suppose I’ll tack on a wish for all my blog readers to have some really good sex. I was going to single out one person but you all deserve it. Consider it my “light of Yule” gift to you a little early.
