No sooner did I say that I hadn’t gotten my BBM package, it arrived (details in notes on photo).
Please note sooper-awesome mix CD of reggae Hanukkah music. I couldn’t love that more if it had a big ol’ photo of Joaquin Phoenix on the cover for no reason other than to be eye candy.
Speaking of candy, there’s a rum raisin candy bar. Can you dig that? How much more Caribbean can you get than rum in a candy bar? My plan is to have a little of this every day for as long as I can make it last.
I already ate a bunch of the khurma. OMG it’s good. I’m not usually one for very, very sugary stuff but this has just a hint of ginger. The other flavor is kind of like funnel cake, if you know what I mean, but w/o the “deep fried” tinge. Just crunchy, sugary goodness. I’m also not normally a fan of ginger (gingerale, max) but this has just the perfect amount to give it the flavor w/o going “GINGER! GINGER HERE! NOTICE ME!” This stuff is like crack. I finish it and my first thought is “go get another one.” These will be gone by the end of the day. I’m currently using my tongue to get the little bits out of my teeth. Mmm… sugar-ginger.
I really do like a digestive. I like how tthey’re called that so you think it’s good for you or something. Anyway, that will be next to go, I’m sure.
I want to smell the Coco Crisp and then close it back up. Then I’ll think about it a while and have a taste. I think the anticipation will be good for me. Like a digestive.
Best part: handwritten letter. I like to see the handwriting of people you see online. And Sarina’s is as lovely as she is.
Now go salivate over her scrumptious blog: TriniGourmet
Thanks! This was worth the (slight) wait

I’m totally doing international next time. Mine was cool, but it would be fun to get stuff from somewhere else.

FYI: International shipping is tres expensive. Mine was about $25 just to ship.

[...] I’m so glad that she liked them!! You can read her write-up here and she did that cool thing with the Flickr photo where she made notes on each item. How cool is that ? I love sharing my country’s offerings (as you can probably tell) and it’s so funny seeing my items in an unknown home in an unknown part of the world (to me) [...]

I shipped truffles to a friend once, domestic, in the USA, and since I was worried about them *melting* and other such things…I expressed it overnight…$13.50!!!
Probably cost more than the home-made truffles (two!)…but hey it was fun.
Almost as much as international shipping.
