And I listened to “SexyBack” while I wrote this
Me: Oh get this! I’m going OUT on Friday night. No kids. It’ll be good practice for Erin’s wedding
Jam: Wooooooo!
Me: My friend B. She says it’s “girls & gays night out.” We’re going to two places in Altoona, one of which is apparently the gay bar. I said to Hawk, “What if a woman tries to pick me up?” He says, “If she’s hot, bring her home.”
Jam: Sounds like something [my husband] would say.
Me: Like I’d go to a gay bar and not find every gay GUY in the place
Jam: Knowing you, you’d probably go to a gay bar and find the only straight, sleazy guy in the place looking to “convert” you.
Me: LOL — the bartender
Jam: bwah. You know you WOULD get hit on w/ that one.
Me: I also have the “these are real; the shirt is fake” and I have “these aren’t the breasts you’re looking for. Move along” as well.
Jam: I like that one. Very “Force”ful
I knew I should have gotten this one or this one.
Okay, no more browsing T-Shirt Hell.
So anyway…
What does one wear for a girls & gays night out in a blue collar railroad town in central Pennsylvania? I don’t know to wear something like one of my nifty Old Navy dresses or like a t-shirt & jeans. I admit, I’ve never been to a gay bar and my last girls night out was probably my bachelorette party. I know. I am teh glamoruz.
I know I want to wear my red peep-toe whore shoes b/c they’re sexy and comfy at once. Yeah I know — gay bar. But the sexy is for me. And I’m very good at turning the heads of gay men, mostly b/c they’d say “I love those red peep-toe whore shoes!”
So I’m wondering if I might want to do some kind of pseudo fashion show (including a pic of the shoes for Erin’s foot fetish friends) and have some kind of voting. Whaddya say?
Or should I just say “fuck it” and wear the Batgirl costume?

Ha. It would be hilarious if you went out in the batgirl costume.
But in all seriousness, you should definitely wear something that shows off your cleavage!
Some of my best girls nights out in Buffalo have been at the lesbian bar…

IT IS zOMG A SIN
to be not-faaaabulous in a gay bar. The shoes sound great. As does Batgirl, bein sur.
