Interviews, I haz some

Hi.

So here’s what happened today. I made some vanilla cupcakes that are light, fluffy and delicious. I cleaned my kitchen. I spoke with my lawyer about today’s hearing.

Here are some news stories already posted about today’s hearing:

A San Jose federal judge this morning weighed a cutting-edge copyright conflict over Universal Music Corp.’s attempt to force a Pennsylvania mom to take down a YouTube video of her toddler learning to walk with the Prince song “Let’s Go Crazy” blaring in the background.

BTW: That’s the reporter I just got off the phone with. Look for more from him in tomorrow’s hard copy, I assume online as well.

Calling it a “case of first impression,” U.S. District Judge Jeremy Fogel told a crowded courtroom that the legal “principles involved are very important.” Fogel is weighing Universal’s attempt to dismiss a lawsuit filed by Stephanie Lenz, who maintains the media giant and Prince are abusing a 10-year-old copyright law intended to curtail infringement on the Web.

Right now, I’m waiting for the phone to ring for some phone interviews. I’m not sure when they might come or if they’re coming at all. *ring ring* Ah, here we go…

Next ABC-7 in San Franscisco. Kathryn, Fredlet, I assume you’ll be watching tonight ;)

  • Soooo, how’d they go? What’s it like to be all famous?

  • It’s kind of meh. I’d rather be “famous” for something I achieved than for something that happened to me. I don’t mind being known for standing up to the record company. I don’t like that I had to stand up to them b/c they accused me of a federal crime.

Anyway, Holden’s the famous one ;) . We’ll be playing that song at his wedding (and no one can stop us!).
